We just wrapped up our first photography workshop held at Think Big’s new Studio location 1751 Broad Street, attached to Vrata Hair Design. 16 Photographers showed up to learn some really cool tips and tricks from award winning photographer Warne Noyce ( www.warnephotography.com ).

We all got together Friday April 22nd at Vrata Hair Design for a quick meet and greet before heading downtown to photograph a couple amazing models Terry Oh (www.terryoh.com) had lined up. Warne illustrated some fantastic one light lighting techniques for out in the field as well as describing his process for positioning and posing his subjects. Here are a few photos by Warne from Friday evening’s portion of the event:

We ended the night with a late with some photos at the Hotel Sask and some food and drinks at Bushwaker’s.

Saturday we all gathered at Tim Horton’s for a quick bite to eat then met back at studio where Warne dove right into photoshop, sharing actions, tips and his photo editing techniques with the class. Saturday afternoon was exciting as we were able to shoot some new models in studio. Warne demonstrated various lighting and posing techniques as he photographed the models using studio lights, natural lights and some ring lights we had in the studio.

Here are a a couple photos taken by Warne during the Saturday afternoon shoot:

We finished off the event with Sushi at Tamoya and a boudoir session back at the hotel sask. All in all it was an amazing event and great turn out. Everyone had a blast and photographers from novice to professional learned a lot of tips and techniques they could apply to their work. We will definitely be holding more workshops of this type in the future.
